Overview

We are a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Provider. We operate a kindergarten program for a minimum of 40 weeks or 600 hours per year as per the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Requirements. The Kindergarten Guidelines outline five learning and development areas that relate to five broad learning outcomes identified in theĀ Early Years Learning Framework:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators.

Children who are aged 3 or turn 3 by 30 June in the year they are enrolled in Preschool participate in the program for a minimum of 15 hours per week run by a qualified early childhood teacher. Children in this room access technology via a SmartBoard and computer, and mini i-pads or tablets for our language program. Families may be eligible for fee relief for children in this room, so please come and see us. Children who are developmentally ready but may not meet the age criteria for participation in the program may still be included in the Preschool room if there is availability.
